My Ah Gong

Before going on about my super cute ahgong, here's some facts found on Wiki (*i told you wiki is my best friend!*)

Alzheimer's disease (AD), also called Alzheimer disease, Senile Dementia of the Alzheimer Type (SDAT) or simply Alzheimer's, is the most common form of dementia. This incurable, degenerative, and terminal disease was first described by German psychiatrist Alois Alzheimer in 1906. Generally it is diagnosed in people over 65 years of age, although the less-prevalent early-onset Alzheimer's can occur much earlier. An estimated 26.6 million people worldwide had Alzheimer's in 2006; this number may quadruple by 2050.


Although each sufferer experiences Alzheimer's in a unique way, there are many common symptoms. The earliest observable symptoms are often mistakenly thought to be 'age-related' concerns, or manifestations of stress. In the early stages, the most commonly recognised symptom is memory loss, such as difficulty in remembering recently learned facts. When a doctor or physician has been notified, and AD is suspected, the diagnosis is usually confirmed with behavioural assessments and cognitive tests, often followed by a brain scan if available. As the disease advances, symptoms include confusion, irritability and aggression, mood swings, language breakdown, long-term memory loss, and the general withdrawal of the sufferer as their senses decline. Gradually, bodily functions are lost, ultimately leading to death. Individual prognosis is difficult to assess, as the duration of the disease varies. AD develops for an indeterminate period of time before becoming fully apparent, and it can progress undiagnosed for years. The mean life expectancy following diagnosis is approximately seven years. Fewer than three percent of individuals live more than fourteen years after diagnosis.


The cause and progression of Alzheimer's disease are not well understood. Research indicates that the disease is associated with plaques and tangles in the brain. Currently-used treatments offer a small symptomatic benefit; no treatments to delay or halt the progression of the disease are as yet available. As of 2008, more than 500 clinical trials were investigating possible treatments for AD, but it is unknown if any of them will prove successful. Many measures have been suggested for the prevention of Alzheimer's disease, but their value is unproven in slowing the course and reducing the severity of the disease. Mental stimulation, exercise, and a balanced diet are often recommended, as both a possible prevention and a sensible way of managing the disease.


Because AD cannot be cured and is degenerative, management of patients is essential. The role of the main caregiver is often taken by the spouse or a close relative. Alzheimer's disease is known for placing a great burden on caregivers; the pressures can be wide-ranging, involving social, psychological, physical, and economic elements of the caregiver's life. In developed countries, AD is one of the most economically costly diseases to society.

My Ah Gong suffers from this disease. I am not too sure about the details of his disease. But honestly, to use the word suffer is so wrong. For certain reason, he seems happier than before. At least in my memory. From what I can remember, my Ah Gong used to be a stern man. Fierce. He is a pretty good tailor and he loves reading chinese novels. But he rarely talk to youngsters. Fierce is the word. I rarely see him smile too!

Years after my popo (*i love her sooooo much*) passed away, my Ah Gong seemed to have changed. You know, indeed, when things are gone, then you regret not cherishing. But ever since he got this disease, he is always laughing, smiling and all! Just like a kid! He wants attention in such a cute way and he loves being taken care off! There are times when he throws tempers. And he have been seeing things. Since last year of course. But we never know if it's purely hallucination or ...

But yes, he seems happier. Interesting the way life changes.

Finally, I have time to blog a proper blog entry! Just lacking pictures!
Seriously waiting for everyone to upload peektures from CNYE Reunion Dinner at Safra and the day 1 of house visiting! =D

Before going into what I have done which might most probably bore you people off, here's one CNY fact I got from Wikipedia. =D

Third and fourth days of the new year

The third and fourth day of the Chinese New Year are generally accepted as inappropriate days to visit relatives and friends due to the following schools of thought. People may subscribe to one or both thoughts.

1) It is known as "chì kǒu" (赤口), meaning that it is easy to get into arguments. It is suggested that the cause could be the fried food and visiting during the first two days of the New Year celebration.

2) Families who had an immediate kin deceased in the past 3 years will not go house-visiting as a form of respect to the dead, but people may visit them on this day. Some people then conclude that it is inauspicious to do any house visiting at all. The third day of the New Year is allocated to grave-visiting instead.

I honestly didn't know! And I still had plans before CNY to go visiting friends on these days! *gasp* Lucky I did not! (*Fine, I am usually a very pantang person*) Imagine how their parents would think! So yeaps, try not to do house visiting unless the second point applies. Because I know some parents are really very traditional (*which I seriously love! keep the tradition!*). =D

Chinese New Year is simply great without the travelling and the smiling! I was so looking forward to the Reunion Dinner on saturday! Oh yes, you know, my family were so happy that we managed to finish cleaning the house wayyy before the midnight of CNY Eve until we realized... no one washed the fans!! *Double whoops!* So we had to rush again! See, last minute thing runs in the blood and it's fate luh! Hahas!

So off we cabbed down to Safra Yishun (*I know it's like a fifteen minutes walk from my house!*) to wait for everyone! =D Oh yea, on the very day (*CNYE*), my sis have got to steal something from Safra! She tore a page out of the magazines on the table. Totally (V_V). Well, it's a Football Mag which she said she have been looking for but was unable to find! (V_V) Anyway, so everyone reached and poooof! FOOD TIME! =D Uh, I mean reunion time! But it's not that we see each other once a year or anything. Hahas! But I was super happppy to see Ah Gong! I don't know why toooo! Hahas! I think my Ah Gong is getting cuter each day! Go more onto it later! So it's the usual dinner. And we never fail to add abalone into our YEE SANG! =D But we were all stuffed silly! And the longevity noodles never fail to make us feel even more bloated luh! But due to traditional beliefs, must eat! (V_V) After rounds of stuffing ourselves silly, time to head down to mama's place for Wii and gambling! =D

J-mie jiejie, sharon, sis and I pop into jeremy's car. And yes, PHOTO-TAKING SESSION! IN THE CAR. INCLUDING THE DRIVER. =X Heh heh! Road hazard I know. But we didn't cause any accident that day ohkay! =D Shall upload the peektures when SHARON decides to upload them! (*hints hints*). Played celeb sports on Wii and gambled a little! My family can seriously be very noisy luh! But FUN FUN! Unkowningly entered CNY without COUNTING down because everyone was either busy gambling or Wii-ing or well, welcoming the God of Fortune! =D Then after that headed hommmmme!

Bathed and settled down on the comfy sofa to teeveeeee! =D Arrrrr.. blisssss. =D And it's time to SHOU SHUI! NOT SHOU YE PLEASE. =D Teeveeeeeeeeee. And eating the OH-SO-SWEET tang yuen! Normally we have "Cheng Tng" on CNY but mee decided to make a change. I PREFER TANG YUEN! =D I love CNYE too because of the "TIM TONG" (*canto for tian tang*)! =D And had to set alarm to wake up on time on FIRST DAY OF CHINESE NEW YEAR!

FIRST DAY of chinese was down to mama's place first, followed by AH GONG'S place followed by my ah ma's place. Usual, brunch at mama's place and all of us would go down to Ah gong's. =D And once again, MY AH GONG IS SO CUTE! Mahjongggg...Gamblingggg...TEEVEE...Chatting...AND AH GONG giving ang paos! =D AH GONG REMEMBERED MY NAME HOKAY! =D Super happpppy! MEESHELL! =D He remembered my name! =D Wooooooo~ And yes, MY AH GONG IS SUPER CUTE! HE LAUGHS AND SMILES SO MUCH! *awww*

Then headed down to Ah Ma's place (*which somehow, honestly, we dread*). So, let's not go into there. All the mindless chatters which the whole family dread luh. Honestly! So after like 30-45mins, we went to Esplanade/Raffles to walk. Dad included. More peeektures! =D And had this disgustingly sweet cold noodles. Really, disgustingly sweet! Then homed after walking. =D Tiredddd!

And DAY TWO was at Da yi ma's place for Steamboat... Whole day toooo. Mahjonggg. Well, I don't play Mahjong, so I just watched. Super tired! Totally drained of energy ohkay! And finallllllly, today, no more going out for visiting! =D So went to Sun Plaza for pasta (*my sis have been like wanting to eat it since don't know when*) and down to DAISO at Semb Shopping Center!

Happpy Chinese New Year friends! =D
Spent a great Chinese New Year Eve with cousins at my mama's place! =D
Oh boy, I seriously need to get new WII games already! =D Shall be checking out WII games this weekend! =D

So we had reunion dinner at SAFRA yishun! =D Food was supposedly good but my tummy haven't been feeling too well! Then *forgot who* drove us home and it's time to "shou shui". =D Me love this part! Eating sweet dumplings and staying up late watching teevee! I love my living room now luh! I love it so much I spend more of my time in the living room then using the computer! =X Because after like 14years, we finally changed the living room curtains to something light and bright! Me like! Me like things that are bright and not gloomy and all! =D
And my hamsters made it to the next Chinese New Year (2nd) which I am darn happy about! They are a crucial part in my life too! =D

So this morning we woke up at 9am, bathed and headed out to BAI NIAN! =D Which also means ang bao collecting session, But you know, I am very lazy to go house visiting! I love the ang bao collecting but travelling is tiring! I think there should be three days public holiday in Singapore for CNY, because...first and second day is like spent travelling and visiting and people only rest on the third day! Tiring!

You must be wondering why I am blogging now! Hahas! I'm at my grandpa's place! I took peekture with ah gong and he remembers my nameeeee! =D My ah gong is soooo cute! =D
The rest are gambling and me being a little supersitious might want to step gambling! hahas!

3hrs 50mins more and it's HELLO to LONG holiday!
Not really that long but well, it's the longest holiday I ever had since IAP! =D

I don't care if I have to wake up darn early to go relatives visiting, or having to battle the crowd when I am out for gathering or maybe even rotting/resting at home! Long holiday is what? GOOD! =D

But I believe life would be better if everyone decide that today can be OFF day lor!
Half day also never mind! And I am so excited about going home! I already planned what I am to do tonight already! Help to clean this clean that. Just a few more cleaning to do then, SPRING CLEANING DONE! =D Because procrastination runs in the blood, we have been doing last minute spring cleaning for the past few years (*for as long as I can remember*). So yea, shall try to not rush! And when I say last minute, it's really last minute! =D Heh heh!

You know how much I love the night of Chinese New Year's Eve? I love it more than any other eve's night! The house is always cheery and bright on Chinese New Year's Even! It's so heart-warming! =D

And I am looking forward to all friends' gathering lining up my LONG holiday! =D I will also be selfish enough to leave a day or two to SLACK and rest at home! Most probably thursday and friday to SLACK and ROT REST! =D Harpi! And most probably wanting to go down for the Sentosa Flowers! =D NO. I am not a flower idiot or fanatic or anything. They said that the flowers arrangement this year is different. Maybe it's an excuse to go down to Sentosa but not wanting to tan? Heh heh! Either way, HOLIDAY IS GOOOOD! But I don't like being in the office now! Just had lunch with colleauges down at Chong Pang! Lucky they chose Chong Pang. It's somewhere I am familiar with luh! But.. I dropped my LG PHONE! =0( LG phone cannot drop one! *ugh*

Yes! I am left with 11 days! I am super depressed at work and the only comfort I get is the decreasing number of days left. But what's worst is that today's time is crawling!

The whining about IAP will end in 11 days! =D Next week is like totally OFF! =D
2 days public holiday, 3 days company shut down!
And in my calculation, I would have 5 days of 0 pay, but no, at least there's a day of pay! =D

You know how I can't live without movies/books/music because they provide some form of comfort when I get so sick of the world/reality?

So here are some movies in 2009 which I think are gonna be great! =D I am a fantasy fanatic! =D *Not that accurate with the months!* I've got some from American sites so they might not be showing in Singapore. But most of them will be of course. But I am pretty sure vacancy will not be shown in Singapore. So mark them down on your calender! =D

What I Think: This show reminds me of the "Never-Ending Story" and you know, I have always been a lover of such stories. Whatever happening in books coming into reality! Exciting!

-*The Curious Case of Benjamin Button(DRAMA) -"I was born under unusual circumstances." And so begins "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards: a man, like any of us, who is unable to stop time. We follow his story, set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918, into the 21st century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man's life can be. Directed by David Fincher and starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett with Taraji P. What I think: I have always wanted to watch this!


FEBRUARY:

-*Friday the 13th(Horror) -Young friends Whitney (Amanda Righetti), Mike (Nick Mennell), Richie (Ben Feldman), Amanda (America Olivio), and Wade (Jonathan Sadowski) end up missing in the woods near the abandoned Camp Crystal Lake (made famous by the original 1980 film), after allowing their curiosity to get the better of them and visiting the site where a psychopathic killer resides. Meanwhile Trent (Travis Van Winkle) invites friends Jenna (Danielle Panabaker), Bree (Julianna Guill), Chewie (Aaron Yoo), Chelsea (Willa Ford), Lawrence (Arlen Escarpta), and Nolan (Ryan Hansen) to his cabin on the lake for a weekend of sex, booze, and drugs. What I think: There are many version of such movies, but I sure want to watch this in the Cinema again!

-*The Pink Panter 2(Comedy) -Steve Martin reprises the role of intrepid-if-bumbling French police detective, Inspector Jacques Clouseau. When legendary treasures from around the world are stolen, including the priceless Pink Panther Diamond, Chief Inspector Dreyfus (John Cleese) is forced to assign Clouseau to a team of international detectives and experts charged with catching the thief and retrieving the stolen artifacts.
Starring: Steve Martin, Emma Bunton, John Cleese
What I think: I watched the first one and it's FUNNNY! I rarely catch comedy in cinemas! But this is really nice!

MARCH:

-^Race to Witch Mountains(Sci-Fic/Comedy/Thriller) -A UFO expert enlists the help of a cabbie to protect two siblings with paranormal powers from the clutches of an organization that wants to use the kids for their nefarious plans.
What I think: Doesn't look like it's worth the nine dollah to watch though~

APRIL:

-*The Wolf Man(Horror/Thriller) -Lawrence Talbot, a haunted nobleman, is lured back to his family estate after his brother vanishes. Reunited with his estranged father, Talbot sets out to find his brother... and discovers a horrifying destiny for himself. Talbot's childhood ended the night his mother died. After he left the sleepy Victorian hamlet of Blackmoor, he spent decades recovering and trying to forget. But when his brother's fiancée, Gwen Conliffe, tracks him down to help find her missing love, Talbot returns home to join the search. He learns that something with brute strength and insatiable bloodlust has been killing the villagers, and that a suspicious Scotland Yard inspector named Aberline has come to investigate.
What I think: Fine! With influence from Twilight! Hahas!


MAY:
-**Angels and Demons(Crime/Drama/Mystery/Thriller) -The Pope died and the conclave has been called for. 4 candidates were chosen. However, before the voting, the 4 candidates are killed one by one. The killer leaves clues that seems to say that he/she is from the Illuminati. Strangely though, the Illuminati was long thought to be extinct. Who is the mastermind? Who revived the Illuminati? What do they want?
What I think: After Da Vinci Code, this is a must watch! It's intriguing! =D

-^The Lonely Maiden(Comedy) -A comedy centered on three museum security guards who devise a plan to steal back the artworks to which they have become attached after they are transferred to another museum.
What I think: It's a comedy luh!

-*Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian(Comedy) -Security guard Larry Daley (Stiller) infiltrates the Smithsonian Institute in order to rescue Jedediah (Wilson) and Octavius (Coogan), who have been shipped to the museum by mistake.
What I think: I watched the first one alone in the Cinema because the rest decided to watch another movie - I forgot which. It's darn funnny! Once again, it brings me into the world of fantasy!

JUNE:
-^Toothfairy(Comedy/Fantasy) -A bad deed on the part of a tough minor-league hockey player (Johnson) results in an unusual sentence: He must serve one week as a real-life tooth fairy.
What I think: Cute, but not sure if it's worth the mollah!

-*Transformers 2(Action/Sci-Fic) -Decepticon forces return to Earth on a mission to take Sam Witwicky prisoner, after the young hero learns the truth about the ancient origins of the Transformers. Joining the mission to protect humankind is Optimus Prime, who forms an alliance with international armies for a second epic battle.
What I think: Nice! Nice! =D What can I say? Transformers 1 was a HIT!

What I think: I have always love such movies though it freak me out! Think "The Day After Tomorrow". It's intriguing in a sense too!

-**Harry Potter and the half-blood prince(Fantasy) -Harry Potter's sixth year at Hogwarts turns out to be quite the exciting year. First off is the arrival of a new teacher at Hogwarts, Horace Slughorn, who is a bit more useful to Harry than he realizes. Next, Harry obtains a Potions book which used to be belong to the very mysterious Half-Blood Prince. Harry finds that the Half-Blood Prince's ancient scribbles are written along the margins of almost every page, giving Harry advice on how to improve greatly on his Potions work, and also teaching him a few helpful (and dangerous) spells along the way.Amidst this, Harry is starting private lessons with Professor Dumbledore, during which Harry learns the dark secrets of Voldemort's past, hoping that they could use these secrets to find a way to defeat him.Harry's year gets even more stressful with the suspicious actions of Draco Malfoy, who has been sneaking around the school doing, so Harry assumes, Voldemort's bidding. What I think: I have watched all the Harry Potter movies! And this got to be the best Magic movie ever! =D It totally brings me away from reality, into the wonderful world of Hogwarts! =D ME LOVE.

AUGUST:
-^Final Destination 4(Horror/Thriller) -After a teen's premonition of a deadly race-car crash helps saves the lives of his peers, Death sets out to collect those who evaded their end.
What I think: It's the same. Just want to see how each death is plotted out. =X

-*Shutter Island(Drama/Mystery/Thriller) -Drama is set in 1954, U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels is investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane and is presumed to be hiding on the remote Shutter Island.
What I think: What can I say? I WANT TO WATCH! I love thrillers luh! And this one... sounds interesting!

-*Cabin in the Woods(Horror/Thriller) -A twisted and unusual take on the familiar "cabin in the woods" formula.
What I think: TOM CRUISE IS IN THIS ONE!

NOVEMBER:
-**TWILIGHT : FULL MOON (Fantasy) -For Bella Swan, there is one thing more important than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is even more dangerous than Bella could ever have imagined. Edward has already rescued Bella from the clutches of one evil vampire, but now, as their daring relationship threatens all that is near and dear to them, they realize their troubles may be just beginning...
What I think: The synopsis isn't really a synopsis but I got it from some website talking about the book. I can write like what FULL MOON is all about because I read it MILLION times! But the movie might be a little different. So if you haven't read the book, it's basically about Bella's longing for Edward(vampire) who left her to let her be safe of course.... and what happens next.. GO READ THE BOOK! IT'S A MUST WATCH! And with Taylor working his butt off to get the keep his role of Jacob Black(werewolf), it's a must watch! But I love my Edward more luh! =X

-^Sherlock Holmes (Action/Crime/Drama/Mystery) -Detective Sherlock Holmes (Downey Jr.) and his stalwart partner Watson (Law) engage in a battle of wits and brawn with a nemesis whose plot is a threat to all of England.
What I think: Hmmmmm. I like Sherlock Holmes. . I like Mystery. But..I most probably will spend another 9 dollah on watching Full Moon the second time! =D

12 working days left to the end of IAP

Yeaps. On MC again yesterday. But it is different from the rest of the MC that I took. First, it was a needed MC unlike those migraine mc where I know I can tolerate the pain (*that is if I am not required to go to production area*) and secondly, it isn't from a normal clinic, but instead from a dentist.

Before that, this is the group photo taken on Monday in School. =D With this principal of the school we stayed in and worked in Beijing. =D Seeing him and hearing him speak brings back good memories! But not all batch 7 people went. Perhaps it's because of attachment and all. I had to rush like a mad person to reach on time (*reaching on time != at the start but not to reach only when everything ends*). And yes, I finally saw Delphine like after 132321years. But didn't get to talk much luh! Delphine, you owe me a date okay! After that went to KFC with del, hl and gj. And HOME. =D


Was home with this major toothache hurting me and I know that my left cheek is already pretty swollen. Applied panadol powder and headed back to sleep. Super happy I didn't wake up in the middle of the night. But woke up the next morning with swollen cheek. I can feel it and see it! It feels like someone punched me! Pain and my face cramps when the pain is intolerable. And yes, I do have a high threshold for pain. But went to work still. See how ironic? Migraine, I die die take MC. With this swollen cheek that gives a weird face shape and cramp, I still die die go work! =.=
I do admit I am weird. Went to work, settled down, printed my reports and all. It cramps till my face hurts! Cannot take it and decided to take leave and go back home to rest.

Feeling super depressed and sore about it! Settled myself on my comfy sofa, with blanket and Monkey. *bliss* Then mama asked me to go to the dentist at Sembawang. Got my heavy butt off the sofa and cabbed down. I HATE DENTIST. They can never be gentle. It's like the pain is very bad but they would actually inflict more pain! The last thing someone in pain want to see is the dentist! =( Took X-Ray. And yes, verdict? Either Root Canal Treatment or Extraction. No choice, with dead nerves there, it's pointless to leave it there. But Root Canal Treatment is darn expensive! More than a thousand SingDollah. Like really, expensive. Extraction is only around 100 S$, but need to fix in a fake tooth because the tooth with dead nerve is like quite an important tooth and it affects the alignment of the rest of my teeth. =0( As much as I do not want to push the blame to the dentist who did my fillings years ago, I can't. =0( *Feeling super sore throughout the whole day until now* But root canal treatment have another thing I hate. That is.....it's done throughout a period of around 2 months plus. And I hate pain. =0( Worst if it's spread out for like a period of time. Seriously hate it.

*ugh* And worst, the medicine is like super yucky! But lucky I can tolerate it! I need to eat 6tabs each time and it's 3 times a day! And three are those plastic colored oval two color ones and another three are those bitter white round ones. =0( I take the three plastic colored ones because it's tasteless and because it tends to get stuck in my throat so need more water. The last three bitter ones are hell because they are so bitter and the taste stays in the mouth. This morning I nearly puked. Not that I can't tolerate the taste, but because taking pills is so yucky. =0( Later at 1pm still need to take. *ugh* And it doesn't helps when it make me so sleepy! =0( And I didn't know what dental clinic gives MC. I never felt that oral health would require MC. Now I know! Because it hurt so much it would put migraine pain to shame(*in my case of migraine of course*).

=0( Ohkay, I am off. Chinese New Year is coming soon and I need the swelling to go offfff.

Apparently from the Title, you can see I have lots to blog about today!
Last night BBQ was nice! =D Nice seeing those faces I am used to seeing for like 41days in Beijing last year! =D And yes, finally seeing Felicia! =D Before I huili uploads all the peeks on FB, I shall upload this one peekture. =DIt might not appear so in the pictures but I look super dark! hahas! =D And was super happy yesterday because I bought SHOES, topssss and bag! =D Spending money like drinking water! =X Heh heh! I love my weekends because I spend each weekend wisely and happily! =D It's only when you work that you cherish all your weekends lor!

But this weekend is really bad! =0( My toothache relapse! Remember long ago I went to the dentist due to toothache and realized that it's due to a bad filling job done many many years go that killed my nerve? It's aching badly again! =0( It ached so bad that I woke up in the middle of the night for 3 nights! =0( And it hurt so bad I can't get back to sleep again and had to climb out of bed and apply "panadol-powder" on the tooth and the gum that is so swollen. It kills the pain enough to let me go back to sleeep. =0( My gum is like so swollen that my left cheeks are swollen too! It's realllly painful! Because it's near the left ear, my left ear hurts too! And my left cheek is like in this "cramped" up state! =0( Hurtsss so much! Dentist recommend me to just pluck off the tooth but it's too important to me! =0( And I don't know when this ache will stop! =0( And it actually affects me and I am feeeling so sick now. =0( Can't even eat properly! Can't even talk properly! =0(
And worst! I have got COLD SORE again! I am very prone to having cold sore because I am very sensitive to dust/spiders! =0( Such a problematic kid I know. Tooth hurts sooo much that I am having a headache! =0( *ugh* This feeling is worst than anything! Because you can't get to sleeeep! =0( *hope it goes away before CNY/Reunion Dinner*

All these results in MONDAY BLUES! I have a love hate r/s with weekends! Because I am so happy I can rest, but on the other hand, I am so sad that weekends are coming to an end! =0( And this week is a LONG WEEK. FULL WEEK. =0( But NEXT WEEK IS OFF! So I am having 9 days of rest! Minus three days of visiting and a reunion dinner, I will have 5 days of rest! Happy or not!? HAPPY! And after CNY, I will be left with 2 weeks! And honestly, I am so going to save up some cash and head over to SENTOSA straight away after my IAP ENDS! I mean, on the 16 FEB luh! Most probably wanting to stay over at SENTOSA too! Need some sort of break luh! And this morning while listening to the radio, the DJ-s were talking about escape and all. So, I was wondering how do I normally escape from reality? Honestly, it's MUSIC. MOVIES/DRAMAS or TRAVELLING. But of course, MUSIC and MOVIES/DRAMAS are the cheaper alternatives luh. But now I need an escape from toothache! It's really making me so sick! I can't even smile properly you know! How to go "bai nian" with a puffy swollen face?! OMG.

The only thing I can be happy about is.... WEEK 9 being an OFF WEEK and that means i am left with 14 working days! =D Less than three weeks of work left! =D Happy girl! But not so happy because I can't go back to school today! =0( "Dong Xiao Zhang" is coming to Singapore and i want to go! But work ends at 5.45! Expecting the auntie crowd to be pretty overwhelming, I can only reach MRT station at 6.05! And the train travelling time to YCK is around 21mins! And that would mean that I will reach school at around 6.40! And the whole thing ends at 7.30! =0(
No time.

Boooof! And another depressing thing is the Israel-Gaza conflict. And I so agree that it isn't about religion and it isn't about politics. I mean, religion and conflict doesn't really have a link right? But so many conflicts arising in the world have religion as their excuse. And it's those innocent lives paying for it. Sad but true.

But because I slept early (1am), we had to wait till this morning to complete it! =D

19 working days / 3.5 weeks to end of IAP

I am just waiting for the time to pass. Hoping for it to be 13feb already.

I hate to whine and all, but IAP is really sucking life out of me! The journey to work is as tormenting! I can't stand the people (*read:human*) I am with in the bus/train. I can't stand their never-ending gossiping. How can people tolerate living like this for the rest of their life?! I know they need to earn a decent living and all. But trading your life for a "decent living" is like so wasteful!

You want a decent living because you want to live. But you forgot that you want to live because you want to enjoy the many happy things there are (*if it even exist*) in the world. Then in a way, you are working and earning a decent living for nothing!

I don't know I think of life this way because I am still young or not. But it's painful to work because you have got no choice. And for the rest of your life, you will be in pain. Then what's the point of living? Unless you say, you are working for a good cause - passion, to support your passion. But it isn't that easy right? Because we all have families and we have to be responsible to them too. Arr~ Everything's so suffocating.

It's worst now. Retrenchment. High standard of living. I am already feeling it! I top up my ez-link card more than two times a week. Each time being $10 and most of the time, I top up my card three times a week. And that would mean at least $30 a week and in a month I would have spent $120 on transport! And the distance is from my house to my workplace in Marsiling. Pretty expensive I would say although my attachmen allowance can actually pay for it. But I seriously need my attachment allowance to see the doctor for my insanity! =X Oh yea, I heard the news about the increase in people with mental problems. How not to expect it! I am near insanity already much less people working in even more stressful situations! The End of the World will not happen with a meteor rain or anything drastic, but people eating each other due to mental problems! Ohkayy... that's a pretty scary thought and I am freaking myself out!

But you know, I am just feeling very not right about my attachment! I had rather take 10 times of examination rather than having attachment luh! But in a way, I guess it's actually my problem. I seriously have this problem which hinders whatever I am doing. *sighs* I can never understand why too. Coming to work actually feels like facing dementors! There's a similarity! They suck happiness out of you, leaving you with nothing but pessismistic thoughts! Which is bad luh!

Grrrrrr... I envy my hamsters although they barely have space to do a 2.4km run. We all think that the grass is greener on the other side.

Because I imagined a life in this. A life like this. I don't mind working 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Being close to nature is something that I have been wanting and yearning and dreaming. I don't know, but for all my life I have been wanting such a life. Tending the farms, welcoming a few tourist that loves nature. Feeding the cows/sheeps/what you can think of. No need to battle with commuters. No need to face the glaring lights of the computer.

There are so many things I can do without. Never mind the shopping malls. Never mind the teevee. Never mind the handphones. Never mind the trains and buses. Never mind the night life. But I do need my internet luh. But you know, everything about the city have been murdering me and sucking life out of me. I need nature. I need silence.

I am not sure why, but I get so irritated with humans. Hear my colleagues gossip (*yes, even the guys gossip*) makes me sick. Everything makes me sick! I need to be back with nature. The skies... the green grass... the consoling words animals speak. Indeed, I am not someone who needs another human companion, but I seriously need nature and animals.

*sighs* Work haven't been good lately.

Went to breaktalk to get all of them in the morning! The only thing that is missing is... .. DANGO. Have been wanting to eat it since don't know when!

And honestly, the numbers WILL get lesser, just how fast! I know there are 24hrs a day and 60mins an hour and 60secs in a min! But you know, the length of 1mins varies with activities! Like reallly! At least that's what I feel

So yea, I am so hoping that CNY will have like at least 3 days of holiday instead of 2!
Never mind about the pay also luh! I want to rest!~ Actually.. I just want to have lesser working days left luh!

I just did this handwriting analysis!
Here's my reeesults:

• Michelle uses judgment to make decisions. She is ruled by her head, not her heart. She is a cool, collected person who is usually unexpressive emotionally. Some may see her as unemotional. She does have emotions but has no need to express them. She is withdrawn into herself and enjoys being alone. so true! =D

Haven't been blogging much I guess?
I have been very tired since weekend!
And my mum's away in Genting with my dad. That actually means, irregular meal.
Can my meals get any worst? Weekdays I either have only dinner or at least early breakfast and dinner. And now, with mother away from home for 3 days, i expect.... er.... breakfast?

I only have proper meals on weekends luh! See what I mean about IAP sucking my life away? XD
Heh heh! Fine fine fine, shall stop whining about it! =D
Weekends were spent shopping and yes, I am officially declared broke. XD
Went to meet Huili on Saturday and got myself a blue satin blouse (which I am loving so much and resisting the urge to wear but it's a little long) and I guess that's it for that day? I only know we ate alot on that day! HK cafe and pastamania!

On Sunday, had Ishi Mura and went to Lot1 with my sister since she need to get her stuff. I got myself a skirt and two tees! No, they aren't for CNY. =D I love wearing the tee luh! Comfy! =D Then got a cover cream and Dejavu FiberWig. =D Totally drained my pockets! XD But it's long long one time so it's alright right? One good thing for the day, I finally paid my two year long library FINE! =D

But got really tired as a result. Didn't really rest well! And am expecting 0% rest for this coming weekend too! XD I got so tired last night that I slept on the sofa~ XD I tried opening my eyes to watch the variety show but honestly, I can't! My eyelids were at its heaviest! =X Woke up 1.5hrs later and dragged myself to bed. Totally tired! Oh ya! I nearly forgot, my mee bought jeet jeet (*my fat hamster*) a cage. But it's smallllll! I am still wondering if I should switch cages for jeet jeet and fat fat (*my skinny hamster*). And I am super happy that both of them sleeps in the little pot I bought for them! Buying for them things is hard! Because they sleeps in different cage, I have got to buy two of everything! =X Now I know how my mee feels! Because when my sister and I are younger, she tend to get a two of everything for us. Like if her friend gives a toy to us, she will go buy one that's exactly the same. But no, that did not cultivate us to be selfish individuals! =D But it's really costly to get two of the same ones luh! Too bad my two boys can't live together. The moment I put them together, they start tumbling around sticking together, biting each other!

But but but, I want a DOG TOO! XD Heh heh! *yawns*
Alright, I am super sleeepy now! Am I on drugs or something?!

Oh yes, I realized that my eyelashes are of different kind! My left eye lashes are stubborn and sparse while my right eye lashes are super nice! So my left eye leaves me a great problem luh! How to grow eyelashes without extending them with lashes that aren't my own? Booooof!

Happpy Birthday MOOMI!

So yeaps, it's MOOMI's birthday today! =D Gonna go for dinner with MOOMI later and there's SOFA coming today! All who have been to my house will know that there's only 2 1-seater sofa. But you know, I don't like SOFA in the living room! It makes the living room feel so small! But for the benefit of those coming on Chinese New Year, oh yea~ =D It's a 3-seater sofa~ And it's no doubt that the only user will be MOOMI because she is a couch potato! She have been watching Miss No Good (*the one Rainie starred in*) last night till late! Tsktsk!

And most probably going down to causeway point to get my LG phone! The more I see my phone now, the more I want to puke luh! Hopefully I can get that phone luh! =D Heh heh! Hopefully! And I am wondering what I should get for moomi! A cake? But we are going out to eat~ So how? But momi say before, birthday cannot blow the candle for more than 1 time! So how? If want to buy, can buy what? *frets*

My momi is quite a childish person. Fine, it runs in the blood. Childish might be a wrong word, let it be FUN loving then. It really runs in the blood! My cousins and all.. erm, yes, are very FUN loving. My uncles and aunties are also very FUN loving. But my mother is to the extreme! But but but, what to get for her?? Soft toy is out of the question because she have got dong dong already! So so so? *frets*

Oh yea, I was intending to get her a birthday cake for her birthday when I suddenly thought of what I want for my birthday! =X I know there's still 5months and 1 day to my birthday luh~ =D I want a birthday cake with 20 candles! =D I don't like cakes with 1 candle! It's spoils the fun of blowing candles! And still young muhs, so have 20 candles on the cake also okay! =D It's not always that you can have so many candles on your cake without you fretting about wrinkles! =D Heh heh! But having many candles on the cake provides a problem - waxed cake! Heh heh! But I love the idea of seeing MANY candles on the cake! =D =D The thought of it makes my soooo happppy! =X Heex!

Oh yea, I am wearing the new top I bought yesterday. I looove it luh! And yes, it can be worn as a dress. I think it work both ways luh. I LIKE. =D Heehee! Indeed shopping makes a girl HAPPY! Oh yes, yesterday I bought 2 pair of shorts - a red and a grey and a purple skirt too! I am most probably leaving the grey shorts and purple skirt for CNY. Probably! Because you know, new clothes can never stay in the cupboard for long luh. Heh heh!

As I am typing this entry, I am feeling freaking hungry! Which is rare luh! And worst, I didn't even bring sweets with me! =0( Tempted to go uncle there take biscult! =X Heh heh! *Giddy spells* Have been wanting to puke luh! I can feel the sickness coming already! And having heard what my colleagues said scared the shit out of me luh! My colleague she got bitten my some insects then she got rashes the next.. then her leg got numb and now, her montly med cost 500+ and that's not including all the therapy she got to go! And her hosp stay is 15K! And another colleague now is experiencing leg numbness and yes, she got bitten by some insects! OMG
Someone tell me it's just coincidence! =X

Omg! The giddy spells seems like it's here to stay luh! Okay! Back to work luh!
